July 24, 2022 – My Heart is Full

What a wonderful day, a wonderful weekend, a wonderful season...

The Apostle Paul nailed it when he wrote, “Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice!” (Philippians 4:4, NLT)

My joy and God’s faithfulness are not determined by events, life circumstances, or my season of life. God is always faithful, always has been, and always will be. Rejoicing and being full of joy is my choice, and I choose to walk in joy. Some days it is easier than others, but I don’t see Paul’s message as a suggestion. Today was the culmination of a vision of someone who loved children and wanted to see a nice and safe playground for them to enjoy. The dream didn’t die when she did; it got moved up to a priority by a host of people who helped make the dream become a reality. Today it was “bittersweet” seeing kids enjoy the new playground, even the “big ones” that enjoyed a slide. Bittersweet because Shari wasn’t there to take the first slide, but I know she was cheering loudly from that “Great Cloud of Witnesses” in Hebrews 12.
Thank you to everyone who helped make her dream become a reality; the list is too long to attempt to mention everyone. To everyone who helped make this day, July 24, 2022, a very special day. THANK YOU!!!

To Shari,
thank you for boldly dreaming and challenging us to dream with you. You will always hold a
special place in our hearts.
